Next month a new online poker television network is set to launch in Canada offering new original content and features as well as programming from the last three years. The new network is called Canadian Poker Player TV and it will begin on March 5th.

The new network was created by the HeadsUp Entertainment International Incorporated and it will begin by broadcasting over twenty hours of programming. The broadcasts will be from several major events in Canada which featured Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Hellmuth, Gavin Smith, Joe Hachem, Huck Seed and Antonio Esfandiari.

Viewers of the new network will be able to see streaming video programs as well as archived content that can be viewed on demand. The first few broadcasts will feature the Stampede Classic in Calgary, the Canadian Open Poker Championships and other events.

The network will also be working with the Canadian Poker Tour and covering events on the tour as well as working with the Heads Up Canadian Poker Player Magazine. “There are so many amazing players and stories that we find on tour,” said Kelly Kellner, President and Chief Executive Officer for HeadsUp. “Both the magazine and our online network will give players from across the country a forum and showcase as we strive to build new poker superstars.”
