At the end of 2009, the poker world was rocked by the scandal that made Isildur1 leave and go on a hiatus. It was devastating, especially since he was the one who provided the most entertainment for the Online Railbirds. Two weeks ago, though, Isildur1 made a comeback, a small one that was spent mostly at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 tables, but a comeback nonetheless. Apparently, though, that first stint was just a warm-up. Now, Isildur1’s back at the high-stakes tables, and already he’s won a staggering $1.1 million.

A Marvelous Comeback

If anybody was able to forget about Isildur1’s prowess and chalk him up to a mere fluke during his absence, then they’ll surely be reminded with a startling clarity today about how the dark horse turned the online high stakes poker tables upside down with his dynamic playing style. Sure, he made a small detour to the low-stakes tables, but let’s face it, even athletes in the Olympics have to do some warm-up before they tackle their corresponding sport. Indeed, it seemed as if that warm-up was one of the best things Isildur1could have done, as he practically tore up the high stakes tables when he got there. Young poker pro, Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, just lost $1,187,406 to Isildur1 in a matter of 30 hours. That’s his biggest single-day loss in his whole career. Isildur1 also fought against Ashton “theASHMAN103” Griffin, Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn, Di “Urindanger” Dang, and “geoff7878” and walked off with $238,661. Of course, it wasn’t all peaches and cream for Isildur1. He fared really badly against Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton, but that’s about it. All in all, Isildur1 is back, and he’s back with a vengeance.
